ABOUT
The Acres at High Shore is a modern Guest House, set in breathtakingly beautiful Prince Edward County. Guests will enjoy a unique stay in refurbished shipping containers, with tranquil views of a naturally vegetated meadow surrounded by Junipers, wetland and farmer’s fields. It's the perfect adult-only retreat to reconnect with your friends or loved ones, have fun, and enjoy all the area has to offer.

This central location of the County is known to locals as High Shore, as it overlooks Muscote Bay, and the property itself was formerly known as “High Shore Farm”. To honour the tradition, and acknowledge its 14+ acres of land, “The Acres at High Shore” was so named. Conveniently situated in the "sweet spot" of PEC, The Acres is the best of both worlds: a quick 10 – 15 minutes from the 401, Belleville, and the main towns of the County; but slightly off the beaten path so as to offer up a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of the urban world.

The owner and hostess of The Acres, Alison (“Ali”) Lawtey (she/her), lives full-time on the property in the farm house (c. 1870), and is there to welcome guests and recommend her favourite County treasures. As a transplant from Toronto, she continues to discover the many wonderful ways to eat, sip and play in the County. She welcomes tips, feedback and suggestions from her guests, and hopes they will truly unplug to enjoy the immersive rural experience.

The Acres at High Shore is a licenced Short-Term Accommodation of the Municipality of Prince Edward County (ST-2020-0223 for Maximum Occupant Load of 6 people).
